Some of the tents also have gorgeous views overlooking the ocean.

Everything from the architecture to the decorations is beautiful. And it has everything you need for a getaway, including a comfortable bed, kitchen, bathroom, living room, and hot tub.

Although you could spend a relaxing getaway hanging out in the treehouse, it is near many fun things to do if you want to hike, bike, or swim. If you are up for a drive, you can explore the coast near Camden or head to the mountains near Mt Blue State Park. And the Waterfront Treehouse is the perfect place to stay when you visit because it is in the heart of the area. This beautiful multi-story treehouse is on the shores of Mooselookmeguntic Lake, offering breathtaking views of the lake and mountains.

It can sleep up to five people and has comfortable beds, a kitchen, a living room, outdoor decks, and canoes. It is the perfect unique place to stay in Rangeley because it is near many of the best things to do, so you will not be disappointed staying here!

Although it is the smallest cabin on this list, it has the necessities you need for a getaway, including a comfortable bed and a bathroom. And it is on a beautiful 100-acre property that will make you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. If you want a no-frills glamping spot in Maine near the coast, this tiny cabin is the perfect spot!

If you want to stay in a tiny house just outside Acadia National Park, the Narrows Too Camping Resort has the perfect accommodations. Although it is not on Mt Desert Island, it is in the closest town off the island, allowing you to drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park in under 30 minutes.

Although Narrows Too Camping Resort is mainly an RV park, it has tiny houses you can rent for your getaway! Each tiny house has comfortable beds, a kitchen, bathrooms, and an outdoor patio area. As I mentioned before, the best part about the resort is its proximity to Acadia National Park, making it the perfect place to stay if you are visiting the national park!

Desert of Maine

Desert of Maine might be one of my favorite unique places to stay in Maine! The campground is amazing and has unique accommodations, including glamping tents and cabins. The glamping tents have comfortable beds, a wood stove, and an outdoor deck, making it the perfect place to glamp near the coast of Maine!

The real stars of the campground are the cabins. Desert of Maine has two types of a-frame cabins that you will quickly fall in love with because they have beautiful glass windows to enjoy the surrounding forest from the comfort of your bed.

The Cozy is a simple cabin with a comfortable bed and a short walk to the shared bathrooms. The Escape is a larger cabin with a comfortable bed, half bathroom, and private deck. When you stay at Desert of Maine, you will quickly realize why it is one of the best unique places to stay in Maine!

Sandy Pines Campground

  • Location: Kennebunkport, Maine

Sandy Pines Campground has a variety of unique places to stay in one resort. Whether you want to stay in a tiny house, glamping tent, airstream, or wagon, Sandy Pines Campground has a unique accommodation for everyone! And even the glamping tents are more than what you think, and they are stunning.

The glamping tents have comfortable beds, a fire pit, an outdoor lounge area, and access to shared bathrooms. If you want to stay in another type of glamping accommodation, you can choose from their airstreams, wagons, and tiny huts. All have comfortable beds, a lounge area, a fire pit, and access to shared bathrooms. They also have tiny cottages with comfortable beds, outdoor lounge areas, fire pits, and access to the shared bathroom.

Woods of Eden is one of the closest glamping resorts near Acadia National Park. It is just north of Bar Harbor on Mt Desert Island and less than a 20-minute drive to the entrance of Acadia National Park. Woods of Eden has a variety of glamping tents you can rent, with comfortable beds, kitchen supplies, outdoor lounge areas, and private bathrooms.

Each tent is beautifully decorated and gives you a luxurious glamping experience. Because of its proximity to Acadia National Park, Woods of Eden is the perfect unique place to stay if you visit the national park!

Maine Forest Yurts

  • Location: Durham, Maine

Maine Forest Yurts is a beautiful campground just north of Freeport and offers four yurts you can rent near Runaround Pond. Although the yurts are considered glamping, they have everything you need, including comfortable beds, lounge areas, kitchens, bathrooms, a BBQ grill, and a fire pit.

And the campground is beautiful! It has hiking trails along Runaround Pond and kayaks you can rent. On top of the amenities, Maine Forest Yurts is not far from Falmouth and Portland. You can enjoy delicious food in downtown Portland, shop at the Freeport Outlet Stores, or explore lighthouses. Maine Forests Yurts is the perfect unique place to stay in Maine by the coast!

Frost Mountain Yurts

Frost Mountain Yurts is in one of my favorite parts of Maine. The campground is in the middle of the Lakes Region in Maine and the White Mountains in New Hampshire, making it the perfect base camp for any adventure! Frost Mountain Yurts has six yurts, and although they are considering glamping accommodations, they have everything you need for your stay.

Each yurt has comfortable beds, kitchen supplies, fire pits, gas grills, and lounge areas. The area is what makes staying at these yurts special! The campground is secluded and quiet but close to many activities the entire family can enjoy, including hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, and swimming. The area does not have a shortage of activities, making Frost Mountain Yurts the perfect unique place to stay in Maine year-round!

Come Spring Farm

  • Location: Union, Maine

  • Nearby Attractions: Camden Hills State Park, Bald Mountain Preserve, and Rockland

Come Spring Farm is one of my favorite places to stay in midcoast Maine because of its unique accommodations! They offer beautiful glamping domes unlike any other place in Maine, and you will quickly fall in love with them when you stay there.

Each dome is on a beautiful farm and offers comfortable beds, lounge areas, a wood stove, private bathrooms (separate from the domes), fire pits, and gas grills. My favorite part of the domes is the window wall overlooking the farm because the views are gorgeous.

Come Spring Farm is also close to many beautiful areas in midcoast Maine, including Camden and Rockland. You can spend your days hiking, enjoying boat cruises, exploring lighthouses, and swimming in the ocean. When you stay at Come Spring Farm, you will quickly realize why it is one of the best unique places to stay in Maine!

Comfy Dome

  • Location: Jefferson, Maine

If you would rather stay in a transparent glamping dome, look no further! Comfy Dome is another campground in midcoast Maine that offers beautiful and unique places to stay. Their glamping domes are different from the previous ones because they are much smaller and transparent.

Each has a comfortable bed and beautiful views of the surrounding area. Since the domes are transparent, you can enjoy stargazing from your bed at night, and it is one of the coolest experiences! Comfy Dome is the perfect place to stay if you want an off-grid glamping experience in midcoast Maine.

Breeze Treehouse

  • Location: Appleton Maine

And last but certainly not least, we have The Appleton Retreat, which offers one of the most beautiful treehouses in Maine! The Appleton Retreat is located just north of Camden on a 120-acre private land, making it the perfect place to stay when you visit midcoast Maine.

Although it has many beautiful accommodations, the best one, in my opinion, is Breeze. Breeze is a gorgeous treehouse in a peaceful forest with everything you need for your stay. Pretty much everything you find in a regular home, you will find in the treehouse. The property is secluded and provides a peaceful place to stay in midcoast Maine.
